Exciting news!  We've updated our Digital Life mobile app with new features and enhancements!  Some of these enhancements were developed based on feedback from our customers.  Here are some of the great new features of the mobile app:

Easily Create Notifications and Automatic System Functions with Preset Programs

Setting up system notifications or automatic system functions is now as simple as making a few clicks.  For example, you can set your system to send you a notification via email or text if motion is detected in a just a few steps. 

Just follow these steps on your smartphone:

  1. Click Programs.
  2. Click Create New Program.
  3. Select type of program you would like to set up.
  4. Review available programs.
  5. Select desired program.
  6. Choose Devices.
  7. Follow the prompts for selected program.
  8. Review program set up.
  9. Click Save.

No More Manually Signing In to the App

With the new "Remember Me" functionality, users don't have to sign in or sign out of the app.  Simply click the "Remember Me" box when you initially sign in on your smartphone.  Remember, if you don't use the app for 90 days, you will have to back sign in.


Rules based on Alarm System Status

You can now create a system action or notification based on the status of your system.  For example, you can set your system to notify you when a camera senses motion when the system is armed or disarmed.  These rules can be set up using the new preset programs or by creating a custom program.

Customize Which Contact Sensors You View in Your Device Log

Wondering how you can view door and window sensor activity in your device log?  Just follow the steps below to ensure all of the activity you want to see is visible.

After logging in from your smartphone:

  1. Go to Home page.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the device log.
  3. Click Customize door/window sensors.
  4. Click Select.
  5. Make sure the sensors you would like to monitor are checked.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Click OK to save your selection.

Weather as an Event

If you have the Energy Package, you can now create programs based on weather activities.  For example, if the outside temperature drops below a certain temperature, your system can automatically adjust the thermostat to a toasty temperature.  To use the preset rules using your smartphone, try the following:

  1. Click Programs.
  2. Click Create New Program.
  3. Select Comfort and Control.
  4. Use the desired program: Weather Goes Above or Weather Goes Below.
  5. Follow the prompts to set up the program. 
  6. Review program set up.
  7. Click Save

Non-Urgent Alerts

Users can now see non-urgent alerts, such as low battery, in your System Alerts.
