As we continue to work behind the scenes to improve your Digital Life experience, we're planning to make important updates to your system soon.

During this update, you will not be able to use your service for approximately 10-15 minutes, and your keypad will display SW Update in Progress (as shown above).

If your system is armed when the update is received, it will update the next time you disarm. Once the upgrade is complete, your system will automatically reboot. There's nothing you need to do.

We're sorry for any temporary inconvenience as we work to help make your home safer and improve your Digital Life experience.  If you have any questions or concerns, you can chat with one of our representatives.

Enhancements to your Digital Life system

Armed Instant

When in INSTANT status, your system will be armed immediately (no exit delay).  When any door/window sensor is opened your alarm will sound immediately. This mode is most commonly used when you are arming your system for the night before going to sleep.

Push Notifications

You are now able to receive push notifications when a device has a low battery or your Digital Life system goes offline. Simply log into your Digital Life account to turn on the Alerts category:  Menu > System Settings > Notifications.

You can also select push notifications as a notification option similar to SMS or email when creating programs. The push notification will be sent to your smartphone or tablet that can receive push notifications.

Digital Life on DIRECTV

Additional features have been added to your Digital Life experience on DIRECTV.*

  • Control your Digital Life devices**
    • Turn on/off and dim lights (Energy Automation package required)
    • Lock/unlock doors (Door Automation package required)
    • Adjust thermostat temperature (Energy Automation package required)
  • Activate, run, or pause programs that you have already created
*Requires an internet-connected Genie HD DVR (HR34 or later) and opt-in to Digital Life App. DIRECTV service sold separately. Visit att.com/directv for details.
**Some devices cannot be controlled via the Digital Life App on your DIRECTV Receiver and must be controlled through the Digital Life app on your smartphone or tablet.
