  1. Beware of what you share about your travel plans on social media. 
  2. Unplug computers, TV and small appliances. It can help protect them from power surges, and they won’t use energy while you’re gone. 
  3. Create a unique pin code for a neighbor, and give them a key, in case they need to enter your home to disarm your Digital Life system. You can also create a quick notification  to alert you any time your neighbor uses that unique pin code to disarm your system. 
  4. If you’re going to be out of town for longer than a week, you may want to consider informing a neighbor or family member.
  5. Create a program that automatically turns your interior lights on and off on a set schedule so it looks like you’re home. 
  6. Kindly ask a friend or neighbor to pick up your mail and newspapers so they won’t pile up and potentially alert others to your absence.
